Folate/folic acid is a Vitamin B type. If you don’t get it enough from your food, this may result in its deficiency. Citrus juices and oranges in particular, dark leafy greens and green vegetables, seeds and nuts beans are especially rich in folate. Deficiency may happen as well due to a genetic mutation disease preventing proper absorption of folic acid and converting it to its consumable form.
1. Lack of folate may often result in anemia when you don’t have a sufficient amount of red blood cells (RBC) which supply the body’s tissues with oxygen. The harm of anemia is that with few RBCs, the body tissues do not get enough oxygen and this affects their functioning.
